Teacher: (Achaya): Bala
He is the founder and director of Hatha Vidya Gurukulam, he is a native of the Thrissur district of Kerala in India. His journey on the Yoga Path began in Yoga: Vedanta Forest Academy, Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh, where he attained basic Yoga training. After which he made extensive journeys through the extension of northern India, exploring his way to seek the truth. Fortunately, he met some of the eminent masters who imparted the wisdom to experience the true essence of the yogic journey. Having bathed in this light of wisdom, his thirst was catalyzed by more. In 2006 he met his Guru H.H.Srividyamba Saraswathi of Tamil Nadu and received initiation in the tradition of Naatha. Under the tutelage of his Guru, in 2008, he established Hatha Vidya Gurukulum in Thrisssur, Kerala in order to impart training to the Yoga aspirants of all walks of life.
In 2009, under his chairmanship Thapobhoomi, a residential yoga center was established on the banks of the Gayathri River in Pazhayannur in the Thrissur district of Kerala. Its Publications division began in 2010. Hathavidya, a quarterly publication in Malayalam, exclusively for Yoga and Tantra, is published under its editorial direction. In order to increase the science of yoga and related training, among school children, he is the author of live books on yoga training, adopting scientific methodology. It is expected that these five texts cover four stages of Yoga Practices, appropriately titled ‘The Drops’, ‘Flowers’, ‘In the mold’, ‘Progress’ and ‘Metamorphosis’.
